Shenzhen Trip - 27.2.2009
I have a free train ticket to Lok Ma Chau so I decided to have one-day trip to Shenzhen. I arrived at Shenzhen @ 11 am and had lunch at Watami Shenzhen in Coco Park Shopping Mall. Then I reached the Shenzhen International Garden and Flower Expo Park. The Park is very large! Yesterday was very sunny and I was too tired to walk around the Park. I think I shall go there again! Then I had some time to go shopping. At nite, I had dinner at Taoheung chinese restaurant @ Shenzhen. It was not expensive but the taste was so-so. I arrived @ home @ 10:30 pm.

Yuen Long Half-day Visit - 16.1.2009
On 16 Jan 2009, I have visited a number of places in Yuen Long. At first, I have been to Yuen Long old town (Nam Pin Wai & Sai Pin Wai) where there were ancient chinese temples (Tai Wong Temple, Yuen Kwan Yi Tai Temple) and Tsun Yuen Pawnshop (which was built 200 years ago!)
Then I visited Man Tin Cheung Park & Tai Fu Tai Mansion in San Tin area. It was probably built in 1865 by Man Chung-luen and said to be one of the most elegant buildings throughout the territority. Some decorative features of the Mansion were of western style.
From top t0 bottom: Painted Glass Panes & Plaster Mouldings - Main Hall - Courtyard - Front View of Tai Fu Tai Mansion
My Itinerary : Yuen Long Train Station - Yuen Long old town (Nam Pin Wai, Tai Wong Temple, Yuen Kwan Yi Tai Temple, Tsun Yuen Pawnshop, Sai Pin Wai) - Minibus No. 76 - San Tin (Man Tin Cheung Park -Man Lun Fung Ancestral Hall - Tai Fu Tai Mansion)

Sweetest Christmas with My Friends Tigger & Pooh
Pooh & his friends in x'mas costumes!
I guess this is one of the largest X'mas Poon events in Hong Kong in recent years! "Sweetest Christmas with My Friends Tigger & Pooh" is held in Megabox during the period from 15.11.2008 to 4.1.2009. There is "Pooh's Honey Sweet Christmas Park" where you can take photos with Pooh & his friends in X'mas costumes. "Art of Pooh Gallery" features masterpieces of "Art of Pooh". Also there are the Hundred Acre Wood maze, Drawing Workshop, Meet & Greet Pooh & Tigger, etc. The photos above were taken on 27.11.2008 am. I am also impressed by the Pooh X'mas tree! It is better to go there during weekdays and weekends mornings to get rid of the people!

Hiking on 9.11.2008

Today the weather becomes cooler so it is a good time for us to go hiking! I read from the guidebook that there is a easy trail in the Wonderland Villas in Lai King. So I took a 47M minibus from Lai King Station to the Wonderland Villas. However, I did not know where the trail was so I had walked another trail (from the water tank to Kam Shan) but the view was marvellous! It was not difficult to walk along the trail, though there were quite a lot of steps. But I was too tired to walk to the top of the Kam Shan (Golden Hill)! Then I returned to the exit and found the easy trail managed by the Villas. It took me some 30 minutes to finish.

ThinkPad T400(WXGA)
Recently I have purchased a new notebook through HKU Space Notebook Ownership Program and I get my new notebook on Friday! It costs at HK$8,580. I'm not sure whether the price is reasonable but my Fujitsu notebook really can't work properly now! As I used to have Fujitsu notebook for years, it will take me some time to learn how to operate the new Lenovo notebook. I also need to re-install all necessary drives and internet connection, etc tomorrow. Hopefully I know how to do that.

10 Promises with my Dog
Today is our holiday and I watched the new japanese movie "10 Promises with my Dog" http://www.inu10.jp/ at UA cinema in MegaBox. It is a touching story happening in Hokkaido, Japan. Recently there have been many Japanese movies about dogs, but I think this is one of the best. Also reminded me of my Hokkaido trip in summer 2004!
